Paper-thin walls, speed bumps in every corner, elevators temporarily out of service for several weeks, you smell and hear everything from your neighbors. This rental community looks luxurious but is NOT a good place to live. Who puts the garbage right at the entrance of the building? It always smells like trash, and the cleaning crew throws bottles and bottles of Clorox everywhere. Management does not care about their tenants and only cares about collecting rent. The parking is an absolute mess. People are constantly fighting for handy cap spots cause they don’t assign enough parking for those who live here and pay their rent. The pool can only be used at certain times in the summer cause in winter since it is between two buildings on the east side, it never gets any sunlight. It’s a terrible design and was completely overlooked. The rugs in the hallways are stained from dog pee and dirty from the constant traffic of people. Everyone leaves their dogs off a leash, and management does nothing about it. The amenities are excellent, but who uses a gym with five pieces of equipment always occupied by the other 300+ residents? You can find a much better place to live in for $2500+ a month. Don’t waste your time at Shoma Village. This place does not feel like home. It feels like a luxury, under-managed hotel that does not accommodate any guests.

The place is very nice and modern. Prices are what’s expected of the current market. I would say a little on the higher end for the area but it’s a newer modern building. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth is at the termination of lease I left everything as requested to received the deposit back but they found every excuse in the book to nickel and dime us for the deposit and a little more. I left the apartment spotless and all wall hole covered sanded and ready for pain yet they still charged the cleaning fee and “damage” fees. If I can recommend anything is don’t bother at the end pack your stuff and go they’re going to charge you for it regardless. Also, if you’re looking for something family friendly I’d go somewhere else. I don’t mind marijuana or the smell of it but definitely not around family or kids. In this building we couldn’t open the balcony doors without the smell coming in through the doors almost at all times of the day. You could smell it in the elevator and hallways sometimes.

So today is my last day in this appointment “ THANK GOD” it’s been the worst nightmare of my life with this building and their manager JULIE , this lady is so disrespectful have no type of costumer service at all . READ THE STORY , make sure you don’t rent here until this lady is gone for good . When I moved over here I gave a deposit which I always knew I wa snot getting back “I’m okay with that “ so today tabt is my last day I received a paper in my door saying I owe $650 , so I asked nicely why , and first she said because when they came to change the filter they saw an animal , I DO NOT HAVE ANY ANIMAL HERE , so I asked her to show me a video of me taking in or out the “animal “ since she couldn’t she started saying well then because of the cleaning . Now I’m thinking she’s just finding any excuse to charge me that . Do I tell her first of all I’m leaving the apartment clean and why is my deposit for then ? I had to call the police of this place because this lady push the door towards me and I’m pregnant , she put my baby’s life at risk . When the police got here the first thing they said is that they’re so tired of coming to this place every single day because of the manger’s JULIE costumer service . Please DO NOT RENT HERE UNTIL THIS LADY IS OUT . Other than her everyone else is amazing ZULI SHOULD DEFINITELY BE THE MANAGER . Every time Anyone asks her something and she have an answer for it she will gladly give it to you with no type of disrespect .

I’ve never seen any Rental Company like them. They are scammers. When we moved out the apartment was very clean and there was no damage. I already took many pictures and videos but still They didn’t refund our deposit and they also asked extra $1500 for cleaning. They provide horrible management.Old lady who works there as manager needs some mental help.

1/2 Oh geez...where do I begin? 1. I've been in Miami for the past 4 years and have been in South Florida my whole life so I have an idea of what areas are worth their price. Let's start with the fact that this is Hialeah, maybe in 10 years you can argue that it's worth almost $3k for a 2x2. Sure, the website says $2818 but take into account your monthly fees: if you have a pet, they charge you for the "valet trash" which is just a trash chute you dump your trash down and during movein or moveout don't count on being able to even open the door with how much clutter builds up, and other small fees that add up. At the end of the day, I'll say the apartment building and apartments are nice and modern (but I also leased the very first year they opened in a brand new unit) but you're not living in Brickell. You are in the middle of Hialeah, which sure it takes 15-20 minutes to get to the popular parts of Miami but again, you aren't living in Brickell so don't pay Brickell prices for Hialeah! 2. Amenities - Sure, they do cute little events with food trucks and provide free food and drinks but their gym is really small and can get extremely crowded anytime after 5 and you also risk working out in a daycare as some people bring their kids while they workout and have them just run around and play in the main gym floor or in the separate closed off room where you can do workouts in front of the mirror. There's one strip of fake grass to walk your dog and the "dog park" is the size of a parking spot with nothing in it. The kids playground, grills, pool and dog grooming station are cute but I'd rather have a bigger gym or a bigger dog park instead. 3. Speaking of paying to live in a place that is in the middle of nothing, they also (maybe now they did) never finished the "shopping plaza/shoma bazaar" area whilst I was living there, nor did it even seem like they were trying to finish it so I was paying rent for a place that didn't even have those cool additions and even though I didn't expect it to be open immediately after move-in since the place was brand new, I figured they would start working on it ASAP knowing it would really bring traffic to the area. Well nope, instead they just spent a year adding speed bumps, a really slow opening gate thats broken 99% of the time to get into the garage, and signs around the complex.. things I feel like should've been added before even leasing. On top of that, the doors to get into the complex are all connected to the butterfly app where you can let people in just with the app. In theory, this is easy to use but it was a pain and a good majority of the time I still had to meet my uber driver downstairs to get my food because either the doors were locked and the app wouldn't work or because they went to the wrong door and the concierge would tell them they couldn't allow them to come up and I'd have to come down. 4. Here's the big one- I WAS ATTACKED BY A LARGE GERMAN SHEPARD which is noted in the lease agreement as a dog that is NOT allowed unless the proper documentation is given to allow it to stay in the complex. I've never stereotyped dogs and I'm actually still planning on getting a German eventually, so it's not like I was scared of the dog or provoked it, I was just walking down the hall to the gym and it got out of my neighbor's apartment, ran at me, immediately bite down on my back right hip and upper glute area and just didn't have any intention of letting go. Barely a thanks to the owner of the dog for finally realizing I was being mauled in the middle of the hallway after 20 seconds, but at least the attack was over. I ended up getting 20 stitches (for the first time in my life) because of the attack. The dog was always very obviously aggressive and management even told a friend of mine that there were complaints about it before so my questions are How did it even get approved to stay in the complex in the first place and secondly, when they started receiving complaints why didn't they do something about it? I understand the owner is the main cause of the issue, but Shoma..

I lived here for one year. We were the first people to ever rent our unit. We had so many issues right upon moving in. Plumbing problems, fire alarms evacuating people during a tropical storm (and management never let us know what …
